Ravichandran Ashwin Joins Elite 100 Test Club for India

Ravichandran Ashwin became the 14th Indian player to complete 100 Test matches at Dharamshala

After starting his Test match playing career in 2011, he has played 100 Test matches till date.

Completed 500 Test wickets in Rajkot as an off-spinner. He became the second Indian after Anil Kumble to achieve this feat.

He is the only Indian to take five wickets in an innings after Muthiah Muralitharan (SL), SK Warne (AUS) and Sir RJ Hadlee (NZ).

Ravichandran Ashwin’s reputation soared as he claimed his 35th five-wicket haul in Test cricket, matching Anil Kumble’s record for the most five-wicket hauls by an Indian bowler.

Ashwin has joined Muttiah Muralitharan as the only bowler to achieve 500 Test wickets in fewer than 100 matches.

Pujara became the first Indian player to achieve this milestone before Ashwin.
