Processor & Performance:
The Vivo X100 series, powered by the Dimensity 9300 chip, delivers top-notch performance. It scored the highest in the AnTuTu test among all the smartphones we tested. Which was 2038916.
It handles gaming by maintaining a frame rate above 59FPS even during intensive games like Genshin Impact. The temperature of the phone stays between 40-43 degrees Celsius during gaming sessions. Although the CPU is technically throttled, we didn’t notice any performance drop during real-world usage.
The phone packs a large 5400mAh battery that easily lasts all day with normal usage, but heavy usage can drain it quickly. It supports fast charging up to 100W with 120W charger.
The phone comes in different configurations including 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB variants. It uses LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, which contributes to its impressive performance. Additionally, it features a 50W wireless charging and IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.

Gaming Performance:
In gaming, it handles titles like Genshin Impact and Call of Duty Mobile smoothly, even supporting frame rates as high as 120FPS in BGMI.
It offers 4D game vibration for excellent haptic feedback and super resolution, enhancing gaming visuals by upscaling lower resolutions. The V3 chipset not only enhances camera performance but also improves gaming with features like game interpolation for smoother gameplay. The phone’s immersive display and high-quality audio further enhance the multimedia experience, making it great for watching videos and playing games.
Camera:
The main camera on the Vivo X100 series uses a Sony IMX989 sensor. It’s the first phone to use the IMX920 sensor. The Pro version has a 50MP ultrawide and 50MP periscope sensor, giving 4.3X zoom. The regular version has a 64MP periscope sensor with 3X optical zoom.
There are four sensors in the camera module, along with laser autofocus and an LED flash.
Both phones have a 32MP selfie camera. The cameras have a T-Star coating developed with Zeiss, reducing glare in photos. They perform well in low light, especially with telephoto shots due to the wide f2.5 aperture. Portraits look great, even at zoom levels.
Vedio Quality:
Video capabilities include shooting 4K 60FPS with all sensors and features like Extreme Night Mode and cinematic videos. There’s a handheld astro mode for shooting stars without a tripod and a tele-macro mode. The front camera can shoot 1080p videos but should have been capable of 4K. The optical zoom is 4.3X, extendable up to 10X, and digital zoom goes up to 100X. Both Vivo X100 models have excellent cameras with curved glass on the front and back.
OS & UI:
The Vivo X100 series promises three years of major updates and four years of security updates. It runs on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14.
It doesn’t come with Hot Games or Hot Apps pre-installed, but it does have some apps like Netflix, which you can remove. You’ll receive notifications from the app store once a day. The phone offers many options for customizing the lock screen and has improved always-on display features. If you choose the 16GB variant, you’ll get 16GB of virtual RAM, but not with the 12GB variant. There are 42 pre-installed apps, which is reasonable.

Conclusion:
Talking about Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro the camera performance exceeded my expectations, especially for photography. It’s outstanding, especially at telephoto and in low-light situations. I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the Dimension 9300 chip, especially its GPU. However, the phone may heat up a bit during heavy usage due to the powerful performance. Overall, both performance and battery life are excellent.
