“Country Singer Alex Miller from ‘American Idol’ Season 19 Involved in Fatal Kentucky Car Crash”

Country singer Alex Miller, a former “American Idol” contestant from Season 19, expressed condolences for the victim of a fatal car crash in which he was a passenger. Miller, 20, clarified that he was not driving either vehicle involved in the accident. The incident occurred shortly after his return from a vacation. He and members of his band were on a tour bus when it was struck by a car, resulting in the death of the car’s driver. Miller extended his sympathies to the deceased driver’s family, emphasizing that no one on the bus sustained injuries.

The crash took place at 10:28 p.m. on Tuesday in Rockcastle County, nearly 50 miles outside of Lexington, Kentucky. Kentucky State Police are conducting an investigation into the incident. The driver of the Toyota Rav4, 53-year-old James Mcpheron of Mount Veron, Kentucky, lost control of his vehicle and swerved into the path of the tour bus. Mcpheron was transported to a hospital following the collision, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Alex Miller rose to fame as a contestant on “American Idol” Season 19 in 2021, making it to the show’s “Hollywood Week.” However, he did not advance to the top 24. Chayce Beckham, another country singer, ultimately claimed victory as the season’s winner.
