Benn Secures Shootout Victory for Dallas Stars in Tight 3-2 Win against San Jose Sharks

Meanwhile, the Sharks suffered their sixth consecutive loss despite efforts from Filip Zadina, William Eklund, and Anthony Duclair, who scored in the shootout. Magnus Chrona made an impressive 36 saves during regulation and five stops in the shootout, showcasing his talent in his second NHL start. Zadina’s goal initially faced controversy but was confirmed through video review, putting the Sharks ahead 2-1 in the second period. Despite the loss, Luke Kunin’s two assists highlighted the Sharks’ offensive efforts.

The game saw a back-and-forth battle, with Robertson tying it up at 2-2 early in the third period off a power play assisted by Miro Heiskanen. Eklund had earlier given the Sharks a 1-0 lead just 4:39 into the game. Despite being outshot in the first period, the Sharks managed to hold onto their lead, with six of Dallas’ shots coming from power plays. The Stars’ resilience was evident as they fought back from a deficit, ultimately securing the win in the shootout.

Looking ahead, the Sharks will face the Minnesota Wild in a road back-to-back on Sunday night. Meanwhile, the Stars will clash with the Sharks once again on Tuesday night, this time in San Jose, kicking off a three-game Pacific Division road trip.
