RCB VS CSK Match Summary:

In the first phase of the match, a brilliant start by the challengers captain and Kohli gave the challengers the momentum but du Plessis scored 35 off 23 balls in 5 overs before being caught out by Rabindra off Mustafizur Rahman, Maxwell and Rajat Patidar before the power play ended. Losing these two wickets in quick succession, RCB lost their run pace.

At the end of the power play, Kohli showed his excellent batting to stabilize the run rate, but after 12 overs, Kohli scored 21 runs off 20 balls and was caught out by Rahane off Mustafizur’s ball, RCB lost the run rate again.

RCB fans might have thought that Cameron Green, who was bought for Rs 17.5 crore, would show his game but Green did not live up to the expectations of the fans, Cameron Green scored 18 off 22 balls and was bowled out by Rahman.

RCB completed 100 runs in 15 overs and RCB were 164 runs after 19 overs. Tushar Deshapande’s comeback in the 20th over slowed down RCB’s run rate a bit, but excellent batting performances from Anuj Rawat and Karthik and a partnership of 95 off 50 balls set CSK a huge target of 173 runs. While Anuj Rawat scored 48 runs off 25 balls and Dinesh Karthik scored 38 runs off 26 balls.

In the second phase of the match, Kings’ Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra made a good start with a 24-ball 38-run partnership, with Gaikwad scoring 15 off 15 balls before being caught out by Cameron Green off Yash Dayal.

Though captain Gaikwad was out, Ravindra did not stop his brilliant short game but kept up the run rate. So at the end of the power play CSK were 62 runs.

Ravindra scored 37 off 15 balls before being caught out by Rajat Patidar off Karan Sharma. Rahane also opened the game for CSK to keep the run rate up, but Rahane also lost his wicket with 27 off 19 balls in 11 overs.

Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dubev secured the match win with a 66 rans off 37 balls partnership after Daryl Mitchal lall scored 12 runs off 18 balls after being caught out by Rajat Patidar off Green. While Shivam Dubev scored 34 runs off 28 balls and Ravindra Jabija scored 25 runs off 17 balls.
