Xiaomi officially announced the launch date for the Xiaomi 14 in India, confirming it via a post on their official page. The unveiling is set for March 7, with India likely receiving the phone a couple of weeks after its global launch at Mobile World Congress (MWC) on February 25. Unlike the global launch, India might only get the standard Xiaomi 14 variant, excluding the Ultra and Pro models.
The Xiaomi 14 series initially debuted in China last October and is now expanding its reach to global markets. Xiaomi India teased its Leica partnership on their official page, hinting at the camera capabilities of the upcoming device. Notably, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is also slated for launch in China on February 22.
In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi 14 features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a 6.36-inch LTPO display with 1.5K resolution and adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, mirroring the Chinese variant. It’s expected to offer up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring smooth performance and ample storage capacity.
The camera setup, co-engineered with Leica, boasts impressive specs including a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and a Summilux lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor. Additionally, the device comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, making it suitable for various environments.
In the battery department, the Xiaomi 14 houses a 4,610mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring quick and convenient power replenishment. These features make it a compelling option for users seeking a high-performance smartphone with advanced camera capabilities and fast charging technology.
